We want you to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when you visit our office. This is why we have a created a pleasant waiting area where you can sit, watch television, or enjoy some music and reading.
Your first examination in our centre will take about one hour. The dentist will carefully examine every element connected to the oral cavity – teeth, gums, oral mucosa, joints etc. – all of which are very important for good oral health.
The intraoral camera we use during the examination enables us to immediately display the problem areas on a monitor and explain them to you.
First, we sit down with you to talk about the reasons for your visit, your main problems and your wishes.
After that we invite you to the examination room, where we begin examining all the structures that are important for good oral health. A careful examination of the teeth is followed by an examination of your gums for indications of periodontal disease, and by looking for possible precancerous changes on the oral mucosa and tongue. We also check your jaw joint for signs of injury.
An analysis of your x-rays follows in case you have brought them with you to your first appointment. Structures that can not be seen during the examination itself can now be checked for signs of inflammation.
After the examination is finished, we take a photograph of your teeth to record the initial state of your oral cavity, which later helps with comparisons and can prove useful if a need for dentures arises in the future.
We will prepare a treatment plan in accordance with the information we acquire during the examination, go over the plan with you and discuss optimal solutions.
Once you are completely satisfied with the suggested solutions, we will start your treatment.
