We can offer you three methods of teeth whitening with a similar result, the difference is in the amount of time needed for the procedure.
ZOOM! is the fastest teeth whitening method that our centre offers. In only one visit, we can brighten your teeth for up to 8 shades. The method is based on the special ZOOM! light, which accelerates the effect of the whitening gel by emitting a blue light. The main advantages of this teeth whitening method are its speed and its effectiveness. You will also receive a home-care kit for maintaining the whiteness of your teeth, which you will need to use overnight for a few days.
Teeth whitening with a whitening gel in the dental office is the second method that enables us to achieve a whitening effect of several shades in one hour. Persistent stains may require another visit or continuation of the whitening with a whitening system for home-use in order to achieve the desired result. This method typically requires several visits to the centre to achieve the desired shade.
A concentrated peroxide gel is used for teeth whitening in the dentist's office. The gel is applied to the teeth after the gums have been protected with a rubber barrier. When we wash the gel of the teeth and remove the rubber barrier 15 to 20 minutes later, you are already able to enjoy the brighter shade of your teeth.
Alternatively, teeth can by whitened with an at-home method, which requires a lower concentration of peroxide. This method is more time-consuming, as first results can be seen after 7 or 10 days.
First, we will make an impression of your teeth in order to manufacture a custom-made plastic tray which fits your teeth perfectly. A good fit of the tray guarantees that the gel is always in contact with your teeth and that it doesn't irritate your gums. You will apply the low-concentration peroxide gel to the tray and insert it into your mouth for several hours a day.
We will take a photograph before, during and after the whitening process to enable you to monitor the transformation of your smile.
